Saameynta Scaling-Up Solutions to Displacement in Somalia

CFHDT is supporting and monitoring the implementation of social cohesion and social accountability components of the Saameynta, Scaling-Up Solutions to Displacement in Somalia Project. The objective of the Saameynta Project is to support the Federal Government of Somalia in their goal to achieve durable solutions for an estimated 2.9 million displaced people within the country. Key actors in this project include the local authorities’ officials, Civic Society Organisations (CSOs), Displacement Affected Communities (DACs), Community Action Groups (CAGs) and Community Based Monitoring and Evaluation Committees (CBMECs), United Nations (UN) and Government stakeholders. A member of our team also undertook a rapid review assessment of debt and creditworthiness of Somali Youth for FCDO in 2020 which targeted the displaced with a focus on recent IDP’s.
